Rebecca Brown, Licensed Master Social Worker
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina after spending 12 years as an art teacher in Charleston. After returning home to Greenville, I followed a long-held calling to become a psychotherapist, bringing creativity, curiosity, and deep respect for each client’s unique story into my work.
My clinical approach is client-led, relational, and trauma-informed, with a strong focus on the central nervous system. I integrate modalities such as CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic work, and Brainspotting to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, hypervigilance, and complex trauma. Through a polyvagal-informed lens, I help clients build regulation, self-awareness, and safety while honoring the brain and body’s natural capacity to heal.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a survival camper who finds grounding and restoration in nature—and always alongside is my Golden Retriever, Skye, who is currently training to become a therapy dog.
I’m often found with friends at live concerts (any chance I get!) and am also a daily Eastern Yoga practitioner. These experiences shape my belief in the healing power of connection, creativity, and the natural world.
