Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist & Supervisor
In my clinical work, I keep an eye toward the whole person, considering the role of family while balancing a client’s current circumstances with an appreciation for their personal history. Throughout my career, I have continued to pursue training in family systems and relational approaches as the field has evolved, including Solution-Focused, Imago Relationship, Narrative, and Internal Family Systems therapies.
In 2011, I began training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This approach deeply resonated with me because of its emphasis on the powerful roles of attachment and emotion in our lives and relationships. I am trained to Level 2 in EFT and have also studied Attachment-Focused Therapy with Daniel Hughes. Additionally, I am trained to Level 3 in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
This ongoing pursuit of learning has been both personally and professionally life-giving and continues to ground and inspire my work as a counselor. In working with both individuals and couples, I draw from a variety of integrative strategies and treatment approaches, with a particular emphasis on narrative and attachment-based therapies. My goal is to create a space where clients can better understand themselves and their relationships, explore the experiences that have shaped them, and discover new possibilities for growth and connection.
I am semi-retired and live in Pickens County with my husband and our cream-colored Labrador. We have two adult children and one grandson, who bring great joy to our lives.
