There are lots of reasons people seek therapy. Maybe you’re going through a transition and feel lost, overwhelmed, or stuck. Maybe you’re experiencing depression or anxiety and recognize you need support. Or maybe you’re grieving the loss of an important relationship in your life. Whatever is going on right now, therapy can help.
It can be daunting to find the right therapist for you, so let me tell you a bit about me. Here’s what you can expect: genuine warmth, compassionate attention to you, and eclectic (that means I will draw from many different types of therapy), evidence-based treatment that uses your strengths and insights to make real, lasting change.
Though I draw from many different types of therapy, my theoretical orientation is psychodynamic. I’m interested in how current patterns in your life relate to your relationships across the lifespan, including the relationship you and I build together. Through curiosity and empathy, I seek to help you uncover and understand these patterns, which can lead to newfound freedom.
