Andrea Helm, Licensed Professional Counselor & Supervisor
Andrea Helm is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 35 years of experience serving individuals, couples, and families across a variety of counseling settings. For 20 years, she has been a valued member of the Canterbury Counseling Center team, providing compassionate and effective counseling services to the Greenville community.
Andrea earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from the State University of New York at Utica in 1983 and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina in 1993. Throughout her career, she has worked in diverse clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment, alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs, pastoral counseling, family therapy, and long-term geriatric care. This breadth of experience allows her to bring a well-rounded perspective and deep understanding to the counseling process.
Andrea’s passion is helping individuals, couples, and families recognize and draw upon their own emotional, psychological, and spiritual strengths as they navigate life’s challenges. She believes that healing and growth are possible even in the midst of difficult circumstances and strives to provide a supportive, compassionate environment where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and move toward greater resilience, hope, and well-being.
